Hi iam 21 years old, am 5′3 and weigh 153. I have a schwinn airdynne bike machine to exercise ( it uses wind power and you move your arms and pedal too;).It is the hardest workout i ever have done ( i used to use an elliptical). About a month ago i started using it for 30 min. 5 days a week. I noticed myself getting slimmer. It got so tiring i dropped to 4 days and then 3 days… the last couple a weeks i got down to two days. im ashamed i know i can do it if i put my heart into it. I want to get down to 135-140 pounds and slim down for my wedding in april my dress is a size 8 (which i fit when i tryed it on two weeks ago). But i want this to be a lifestyle change as well to finanlly like what i see in the mirror! I feel like i am gaining weight or shape- shifting already. Anyhow, my question is this: which workout routine would be more effective in losing weight and keeping my metabolism up to firm and slim up? doing 30 min. 4 days a week or 20 min. 6 days a week? or any suggestions on a better idea? im eating blueberries, strawberries, banannas, oranges, apples, cauliflower, eggs on wheat english muffin. is this okay or what should i change? I am taking vitamins as well. Please help anyone?? Should i do an exercise video as well because i have a pilates one? ,Thank you for your time it is greatly appreciated.

eating oatmeal w/ raisins most mornings is a must.tuna mixed with veggies and lemon is one of my favs
stay away from soda and fast food and you should be good for the diet part
exercise every day even if its just 5 or 10 mins( but make em count) but try to do different things it doesn’t really matter what just as long as you get your heart rate up
ex:machines, jogging, calisthenics(push and sit ups) sports like basketball, swimming, boxing
you get the point anything that gets you sweating and your heart pumping
you’re welcome and hope it works out for you
I recommend boxing since it’s so fun and you feel like you can actually do something with that skill
I lost 45 lbs cuz of boxing

when i do push ups and crunches and dips and pull ups and run a mile. ill do it on mon, wed, fri. well i slim done and get tone and not bulk up??? because all i wanna do is lose 30 pounds and tone up and im on a healthy diet.

This is a really good plan you’ve got going, but if you just want to lose weight and not look like a bodybuilder, I think you should be doing more cardio, like the running. Maybe you could try swimming, biking, or something like that. You might enjoy yoga as well. Good luck, I know how difficult it is to lose weight.

I’d say the tailoring of the suit is going to have a lot to do with that. Assuming you have the silm/fit figure to begin with.

I just signed up for the 7-day Free pass and after that I’m gonna get a membership. I figure, they offer seven days free, so why not take it?

My question is, does anyone know which ‘plan’ is the best to sign up with? For example, they have the flat monthly rate of $46.99 for however long you want. Then they have the ‘fixed’ rate options, for "30 Day Membership" and "60 Day Membership", lastly "90 Day Membership." I plan to use it at least this whole semester, so 46.99 for the next three months is like $138. Versus the 90 Day Membership at $149.99, I think.

They also have cheaper plans at $30/mo. where you can only use one gym (fine for me) and you have set days in which you can go. The latter may be limiting myself. Option 1 for this plan is Mon Wed Fri … probably the best choice for me since I plan to work out 3/4 days per week. But then I really wanted to go Tues and Thurs, but that plan is option 2 at Tues Thurs and Sun, but I’d never use the Sun (or any weekend) cuz of work.
I think either the flat monthly rate of $46.99 or the $30 Option 1 of Mon Wed and Fri works best for me. Which should I do?

Off topic note: I told my friend I was joining this gym and he texted me back with, "The gym LOL" and went on to say that I’m not fat and assumed some girl told me I was so now I’m joining the gym. Haha… can’t I just wanna stay healthy and get toned up? I could shed some lbs around my stomach area. Not much, it really just neeeds toning.

But it’s funny b/c he himself has a monthly pass to the 24 Hr Fitness too. But he says he IS fat. I think he’s just afraid I’ll end up looking better than him faster, lol since I’m not all fat like him I’ll get results quicker.

I think the 46.99 one is perfect you choose when you wanna go and it as long as you want it I am pretty sure you will be satisfy with this one!

THE LOOK I’M GOING FOR IS SUPER SUPER SKINNY!! I’m already pretty ripped:o) just need to lose some bulk:o( the Wedding’s on August 25th 07 EKKk!!! SHOULD I TAKE SOME DIET PILLS?? & IF SO, WHICH ONES SHOULD I TAKE?? THERE ARE SOO MANY!!

Eat Veggies, grilled skinless chicken breasts, and grilled fish.

Cross training is really a great way to go.

Sunday – Try running a mile then walking a mile. If you can’t do the full mile running that is fine. Push as far as you can.

Monday – Run .10 mile sprints 5 times. Cool down between each. Jog/speed walk .5 mile.

Tuesday – Ride a stationary bike for 45 minutes. Then do 35 of each.

Sit ups
Crunches
Bicycle Sit ups

Wednesday – Take off and let your body heal.

Thursday – Run again. Same as Monday. Push as best you can.

Friday – Weight Training. Work on your upper boddy and lower body.

Saturday – Take off.

I’m almost 140 lbs and i’m 5′5. Not exactly fat, mostly chubby. My prom and my cousins wedding are both in June, and i’m a brides maid. I need to get fit by then. I was wondering if anyone knows of a program or diet and workout that tones my whole body. And a diet program that will guarantee me weight loss. I’m a hard working student, so hopefully it doesn’t make me so tiered.
And I do have a gym membership, so how should i work out at the gym, what types of excercises and stregnth training should i do?
I want to lose 30 pounds in 7 months.

If you are looking for fast diet way, you can use my way. I lost 14 pounds in 2 weeks. If you are serious about diet you should have a look this way. It is fast if you know right information to do diet. You can find more information here link below.

I am size 14, pear shape, blondish hair, blue/green eyes, will be meeting my love’s family for the first time. This is his nephew’s wedding. I want to look elegant, understated, and classy. Can I wear black? I am 64 years old.

Absolutely you can wear black. And if you really want to be considered "In Style" go with a black and white suit or dress. Pear shaped always looks good in something with an empire waist or if you go with black, definitely consider a classic pants suit. Throw on a black and white floral blouse underneath and wear a colored pump: red, pink, aqua…choose your favorite….you’ll look great!

I am 6′2" and 185-190 lbs so my bmi says i am fine but I am getting married in under 5 months. I would like to be in perfect shape for my bride. Anyone know of a diet regimen online tailored for people that only want to loose a few pounds and a workout plan that doesn’t add bulk just tones?

Thanks,

According to the BMI you’re normal, and besides your fiance is marrying you already knowing how much you weigh so I don’t think she’d mind! :) But if you really want to do something I’d suggest you go work out at the gym, drink a lot of protein shakes and get a 4 or 6 pack.

Good luck and congrats!

I’ve been so busy in the last few months that exercising fell by the wayside. My wedding is in 2 months, and I need to tone and lose about 5-6 pounds. How can I accomplish this?

its easy!!!! i know the hectic schedule that u must be havin now…..but with a slight diet plan and some good night sleep….its gonna work out A-Ok!!! Just remember to eat well……not less!!! Eatin less will lower ur metabolism and this will instead stop ur weight reduction even tho you think you might slim up!!! The carbs will go on addin up with no other way to be used up!!!! So just eat healthy……plus sleep well!!!! and less of beer and soda!!! hihi…..hope that helped!!! :D

I am male, 5 foot 11 and 205 lbs

I want to look as good as I possibly can any good resources.

I have A TERRRIBLE fear of the gym. I am really self conscious so PLEASE KEEP THAT IN MIND

Sorry, there is no magic pill or wand that will just melt off the weight.

You don’t say how much time you have to shape up. At 5′11" you probably need to lose thirty pounds to be really fit. Even at 2 pounds a week you will need at least four months of good eating below your normal intake and really working the muscles to burn the calories you took in over the past years.

Remember, the weight sneaked on slowly and won’t just melt off without some work.

So, if you hate the gym, you have to settle in at home and do some serious running, jump rope, sit-ups, push-ups, and any other exercise you can think of to get the sweat pouring off.

Don’t forget to drink lots of water.

Sure you can’t put on some sweats and work out at the gym? They have some awesome machines to give you resistance.

Good luck and best wishes!
