I know very little about this, and Iam curious to know more, I wanna know if these are legit or scams, if anyone knows what percentage workout. and any good websites, or reviews of mail order brides?
First, I am a little biased, but the truth is that there are a lot of happy couples from the so-called mail order bride agencies. Don’t take my word for it read the only good academic study on the subject by Lisa Ann Simons. She was adamantly opposed to the whole concept of mail order brides when she started researching her dissertation on the subject, but after she had interviewed over a hundred couple she realized she wasn’t finding any horror stories. She worked hard to find horror stories and decided that all in all the system worked out pretty well for both men and women. Here’s her dissertation: http://usaimmigrationattorney.com/images/MarriageMigrationMarkets.pdf
I’m almost 140 lbs and i’m 5′5. Not exactly fat, mostly chubby. My prom and my cousins wedding are both in June, and i’m a brides maid. I need to get fit by then. I was wondering if anyone knows of a program or diet and workout that tones my whole body. And a diet program that will guarantee me weight loss. I’m a hard working student, so hopefully it doesn’t make me so tiered.
And I do have a gym membership, so how should i work out at the gym, what types of excercises and stregnth training should i do?
I want to lose 30 pounds in 7 months.
If you are looking for fast diet way, you can use my way. I lost 14 pounds in 2 weeks. If you are serious about diet you should have a look this way. It is fast if you know right information to do diet. You can find more information here link below.
I am 6′2" and 185-190 lbs so my bmi says i am fine but I am getting married in under 5 months. I would like to be in perfect shape for my bride. Anyone know of a diet regimen online tailored for people that only want to loose a few pounds and a workout plan that doesn’t add bulk just tones?
Thanks,
According to the BMI you’re normal, and besides your fiance is marrying you already knowing how much you weigh so I don’t think she’d mind!
But if you really want to do something I’d suggest you go work out at the gym, drink a lot of protein shakes and get a 4 or 6 pack.
Good luck and congrats!
this lost version of breakfast club? This I would love to see! I know it says hughes had the only copy but just wondering if its been released or going to be since he died recently. here’s the description from imdb trivia:
"John Hughes originally wanted "The Breakfast Club" to be a 2-1/2 hour movie. However, many of the scenes were cut out and the negatives destroyed. John Hughes said in Première that he had the only complete copy of The Breakfast Club on film. Among the cut scenes from the movie (some filmed, some only written) are: -Carl predicts where the five kids will be in 30 years. Bender will have killed himself, Claire will have had "2 boob jobs and a face lift," Brian will have become very successful but die of a heart attack due to the stress of the high paying job. Allison will be a great poet but no one will care, and Andrew will marry a gorgeous airline stewardess who will become fat after having kids. -In a dream sequence, Allison imagines Andrew as a gluttonous Viking, Bender as a prisoner, Claire as a bride, Brian as an astronaut, and herself as a vampire. In an unfilmed alternative to this dream sequence, all five kids imagine random things, including cars, naked women, Godzilla, beer, and fighter planes, and these things end up filling the room until Vernon interrupts. -John Bender was not going to walk to school in the original script. He was going to be driven by his dad in a rusty tow truck, and have a brief fight with him before his dad drives off. Bender also tossed a bagged lunch, his father saying "You are a waste of lunch meat!" -After Bender demonstrates "Life at Big Bri’s house" Brian stops Bender and corrects him with a much more pessimistic version of the skit. Claire then proceeds to act out her life before asking Bender to demonstrate his version. Bender’s routine changes as well here. After Bender mimics his mom, he stops, commenting that "then they make me work to pay off the dentist for the teeth HE busts." -The scene where Andrew and Allison are walking to get the sodas is extended to a point where Allison pulls out a pack of cigarettes and smokes one. -After getting the sodas, Bender shakes his can violently and places it among the five to see who gets the rigged one. Allison ends up getting it, and when she opens the can, all the soda squirts directly into her mouth. -After Vernon asks who has to use the lavatory, the five go to the bathroom. Vernon gives the boys 2 minutes and the girls 3 minutes. Claire catches Allison in a stall eating a bag of chips, repulsing her. Bender mocks Brian for sitting down to pee instead of using a urinal. -Several staff members were cut out of the script before filming. Dr. Lange, a social studies teacher who dresses oddly, and Robin, a gym teacher. Robin helps Vernon on a few workout machines until Vernon injures his back, and she eventually visits the students while they are in their circle in the library. Robin initially replaced many of Carl’s scenes and Carl was originally set to be a minor character with only 2 scenes."
try your library. they might have
Any brides out there firming up the flab before the big day? Seems like the popular thing to do. I have some great cardio exercises that are helping me burn some calories and keep my heart rate up, but I need some resistance/toning regimes for my arms, back and legs… What are you gals doing to prepare for the big day, and the honeymoon bikinis?
I work out 5 times a week. 3 days I weight train, 4 days I do cardio, every day I work on my abs.
If you wanna know more, just email me
I am getting married at the end of July and really need to get on the ball with a weight loss plan. I am not looking for anything to happen tomorrow, but I get discouraged if I don’t see results fast. I need a GREAT workout plan that will focus on all-over weight loss. I am not into taking pills, so that’s out of the question. I play softball 2x a week, so I need a workout routine and good eating advice for in between softball. Thanks!!!!
I would suggest a cleansing diet. I lost 12 pounds in 9 days and then 28 pounds in less than a month. I also lost a lot of inches too! I learned that cleansing will help the body get rid of toxins. Toxins come from a lot of things like fast food, pollution, food additives and preservatives and lots of other things. The toxins get stored in the fat in our body. To get rid of the fat, we have to get rid of the toxins by cleansing the body. This made sense to me and I decided to try a cleanse program and it worked. The weight came off fast and this kept me motivated to keep going, not like other diets where the weight loss it too slow. I did Jenny Craig, Weight Watcher and Medifast. If you want to learn more call the toll free number 1-877-587-4647 or check out the website. This was the first time I ever did a cleanse, it was easy and I feel better. Good luck whatever you decide to do! http://diet4cleansing.tripod.com
My brother has asked me to be his best man at his wedding and naturally I said I’d love to.
the wedding day is getting closer, and everything is organised and under control.
Anyway…. we were training at the gym together last weekend and we were just chatting about the wedding and life in general while I was spotting him on the benchpress, nothing formal, just idle brother chat, anyway after we finished our workout and we are in the car on our way home his tone changed as if he was feeling nervous or guilty about something- thats when he asked me "would you mind growing your hair out for my wedding day mate?" at first I thought he was joking but he was absolutely serious! I’v had a shaved head since I was about 18, partly because it suits me and more recently because I’m a bit thin on the crown.
He’s never expressed any negativity towards my bald head before so I just knew his wife to be had put him up to it, which he later admitted, anyway i told him to f’ off and if its one of her majestys terms then I won’t even be at the wedding let alone be best man.
Anyone else think this is a bizzare and just plain rude request?
Er no. I think it’s fairly reasonable. She wants the wedding to be perfect and is afraid that your head will spoil the photos.
It’s traditional to humour brides at a time like this. If you’d find it difficult how about a trade off? say you’ll grow your hair as long as they (insert request).
There!
Everyone happy?
I wanted to lose weight (what bride doesn’t?) but things haven’t quite gone as planned. I wouldn’t consider myself terribly overweight but I do have some extra baggage I could do without. I’m 5′4" and about 160 pounds.
I’m down to crunch time and really want to know realistically what I can do. I don’t have any ridiculous expectations like losing 25 pounds (my original goal) or something. But is 10 pounds attainable? What do I need to do? What goals should I set for myself?
By the way, I do NOT want to buy anything, take any strange supplement or go on some ridiculous crash diet. I want to do this correctly and healthily. I’m looking for diet and workout tips.
PLEASE do not post any useless links about acai berry or Hydroxy Cut or anything along those lines.
If you just cut down on sweets and switch to a healthier diet, that should do it!! Not only will you look better and be healthier, but you will feel better as well. Obviously, you want to cut out as much junk food, high calorie food, and fast food as possible. Eat lots of fruits and vegetables. Eating negative calorie foods such as celery is good too because you’re eating but you’re actually burning more calories by eating then you are taking in!! Also drink a lot of water. It’s good for you and it will help cleanse your body and fight away hunger. Sometimes you may think you’re hungry, but you’re really just thirsty and a few sips of water will make you feel better. =) Also, maybe just subscribe to a gym for a couple of weeks. Most gyms will give you a trial week or two, so maybe try that and just run on a treadmill for a couple of hours. Or you could just run around the neighborhood. Or even biking burns a lot of calories. Good luck and congratulations on getting married!!!

What are some things you have seen at weddings that the bride & groom or wedding planner thought would be a good idea or would work and didn’t quite workout the way they were intended? Or caused unforeseen problems?
For example: We went to a wedding on Friday night and two things stuck out at me. 1) They didn’t have any ushers so finding a seat for the ceremony was rough. By the time the venue was filling up couples and families were having to split up to sit down. Probably seemed like there was not a point in having ushers or they got overlooked but it did cause a bit of chaos. 2) The bride and gorom or coordinator choose to have tall pedestals with large flower arrangements on them lining the aisle. However, due to the pedestals, the large flower arrangements and the fact that the bride and groom were on the same floor level as the guests hardly anyone could see them. I was sitting on the aisle end of a row and saw nothing but a flower arrangement and the back of the guy’s head in front of me. The flowers were pretty but really took away from the view of the bride and groom.
The rest of the evening was nice.
Anyone else? I can always use a heads-up as I am planning my own wedding for 8/1/09 and sometimes we overlook things!!! ( =
Thanks!
1. Having a reception 30 minutes from the wedding site and then having road construction cause massive detours and delays.
2. Having so many bridesmaids that no one could actually watch the ceremony. Instead, everyone got views of the backs of bridesmaids.
3. Having the wedding on 4th of July weekend in a downtown location. Downtown was cordoned off for the weekend for parades and other city functions. Everyone had to walk 12 blocks from the church site to the reception site.
4. Having the bridesmaids dresses in navy blue velvet. They photographed black.
5. Having a wedding in the morning (10AM); the reception in the evening (5PM); photographs from noon-2PM; and no food available until the reception dinner at 7PM for any of the bridal party (including 3 flowergirls under the age of 6). In addition to this, serving only alcohol from 5PM-7PM.
6. Having a wedding on a holiday weekend which coincidentally was also the weekend that Mary Kay was having their national convention. Hotel rooms were unavailable for out-of-town guests Even 20 miles away, LaQuinta rooms were renting for $180 a night.
7. Having a reception last for 8 hours and only serve food once. In addition, the food was all single-serving (no seconds on anything). We left the reception at 10PM to go to Dennys for something to eat; we ran into 16 other guests from the wedding there, including three of the bridal party. None of us returned to the reception.
I have lots more stories. It seems that the more extravagant and creative the wedding was, the more likely we’d have a good story to talk about later. The simplest weddings were the best managed ones.
